Job Summary:

The Parts Advisor is responsible for assisting customers and service technicians in identifying, sourcing, and purchasing parts and accessories for motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, snowmobiles, boats, and recreational vehicles. This role combines strong product knowledge, organization, and customer service to support both retail and internal service operations.

The ideal candidate is passionate about motorsports, RVs, marine products, and the outdoor lifestyle, thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment, and takes pride in delivering an exceptional customer experience. Local industry experience and ties to the Squamish community are considered a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Parts Sales:

• Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Help customers identify the correct parts, accessories, apparel, and gear for their machine or RV.
• Answer customer inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email.
• Recommend upgrades, accessories, maintenance items, and seasonal products.
• Provide accurate pricing, availability, and estimated arrival times.

Service Department Support:

• Work closely with service advisors and technicians to source and fulfill repair orders efficiently.
• Order and track parts required for service and warranty work.
• Ensure technicians receive parts in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Assist with manufacturer warranty parts procedures and returns.

Inventory & Merchandising:

• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming inventory shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
• Participate in inventory counts and stock management processes.
• Keep showroom displays, accessory walls, and parts areas clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Assist with seasonal merchandising and promotional displays.

Product Knowledge & Operations:

• Maintain strong knowledge of current motorsports, marine, and RV products.
• Stay current with manufacturer updates, parts catalogs, and industry trends.
• Understand OEM and aftermarket parts systems and ordering procedures.
• Assist customers with towing, camping, riding, boating, and off-road accessory solutions.

Administrative Duties:

• Process customer invoices, purchase orders, returns, and transfers accurately.
• Maintain organized documentation and inventory records.
• Follow dealership policies and procedures regarding inventory control and customer service standards.
• Support online parts inquiries and dealership e-commerce initiatives when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership management software.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a motorsports, marine, RV, or automotive dealership environment.
• Familiarity with powersports and RV brands such as Kawasaki, Arctic Cat, Argo, Forest River, and others.
• Knowledge of OEM parts lookup systems and inventory management.
• Passion for motorsports, boating, camping, off-roading, or outdoor recreation.
• Forklift experience is considered an asset.
